Barkerville is located deep in the Cariboo Mountains in east-central British Columbia, Canada. A leisurely drive 81kms east of Quesnel on Hwy 26 will get you here. The town of Wells and the world renowned Bowron Lakes are close neighbours.

By Air: Central Mountain Air and WestJet operate flights from Vancouver and Edmonton to Quesnel and Prince George.
By Rail: Via Rail runs services from Vancouver
By Bus: Greyhound
Local Bus: Barkerville/Quesnel Schedule
Light Aircraft: Landing strip just outside park entrance

Be advised that if you take public transportation to Quesnel, you can rent a vehicle or take local bus transportation. See link above for schedule. From Prince George, you MUST rent a vehicle as no regular bus service is available.

Where to Find Barkerville

Use the + and - signs to zoom in and out and use the arrow keys to navigate in all directions. Click and hold down your mouse on the map to also navigate around.

The St. George is located straight up main street and smack dab in the middle of town! Vehicle parking is outside the park gates only.

Need help with your luggage? For arrivals between 10 a.m. & 4 p.m., the horse-drawn freight wagon will be called to help with your luggage. After hours there are low-tech wagons directly behind the Visitors Centre to help you with your things.

Please note that because Barnard's Express horses are on site 24/7, no dogs, other than assistance animals, are allowed in the park.
